Biography
Katie Daley is a lifelong Berks County resident and currently works as an Assistant District Attorney in the Berks County District Attorney’s Office. She is a graduate of Mt. St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD where she received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies. Following college, she worked as a Conference Officer in Domestic Relations where she conducted child support conferences. After that, she worked for seven years as the Executive Assistant to Berks County Commissioner Kevin Barnhardt. While working full-time for Commissioner Barnhardt, she attended law school in the evening division at Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, PA.
Upon graduating from law school, she began working as an Assistant District Attorney in the Berks County District Attorney’s Office where she prosecutes all types of cases, including violent felonies, homicides, and child abuse. Katie is an instructor at the Reading Police Academy and is an adjunct instructor at 91°µÍø in the Criminal Justice program. Katie is a member of the Berks County Bar Association, the Reading Public Library Board of Trustees, and the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts Board of Directors.
