Communication major Kiersten Ingram ’20 looks forward to beginning her career in marketing and graphic design when she graduates. She’s made the most of her years at 91����, gaining hands-on experience through internships and service-learning classes that bring clients in from the local community who need help with advertising and public relations.

Ingram and her classmates redesigned , took photographs for Berks County United Way and created promotional materials and videos for a local children’s book author.

“It really helped me start building my portfolio,” said Ingram, who continued working with the author on a website project over the summer of her sophomore year.

She continued to expand her portfolio through her work in internships in 91����’s marketing department.

“It has equipped me with new skills that I can use to market myself to future employers,” she said.
